Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your Distressed Deals account and the personal data held with it. It applies to the Distressed Deals mobile app, published by Apex Vertex Software L.L.C.
If you have been browsing without creating an account, there is no account to delete and nothing to ask us for — open Profile in the app and choose Reset app data.
In the app — immediate
- Open the Distressed Deals app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
The deletion happens straight away. You do not need to contact us, and we do not review or delay the request.
If you no longer have the app
Email privacy@distresy.com from the address on the account, with the mobile number you registered. We will confirm your identity, delete the account, and write back when it is done. We aim to complete this within 30 days.
Why there is no delete form on this page. A form that erased an account from nothing but a typed-in email or phone number would let anyone delete a stranger's account. Both routes above establish who is asking first: the in-app button acts only on the account you are signed in to, and an emailed request is checked by a person before anything is removed.
What is deleted, and what we keep
Deleted immediately
- Your name, email address and verified mobile number.
- Your profile photo.
- Your saved listings, enquiries and property submissions.
- Your sign-in sessions and device records, on every device.
Kept, and why
- A single record that an account was deleted, with the mobile number it belonged to. We keep it to recognise a returning registration and to show, if asked, that the deletion happened. It holds no other personal detail.
- Records we are required to keep by law, such as accounting records for a purchase, for as long as the relevant law requires.
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account, its submissions or its saved listings afterwards, and registering again with the same number creates a new, empty account.
